When you're inside an area, a wide left-rail sidebar (the GroupMenu) replaces the realm-level menu. On mobile and tablet it's a slide-over — tap Menu in the breadcrumb to open it.
Sidebar items (in order)
Dashboard — quick information and overview for this area.
About — versioned profile sections about the supported person.
Daily diary — running record of the day.
Reminders — tasks with optional alerts.
Contacts — GP, family, professionals.
Inbox (when messaging is enabled) — the area-channel.
Policies — realm-wide policies, surfaced in-context.
Files — document store.
Forms — templates, queued submissions, history.
Medication stock control — receive, dispose, count.
E-MARs — medication administration records.
Money tin tracker — petty-cash ledger.
Activity logs — audit trail.
Workflows — area-scoped automations (admin/moderator).
Calendar — unified dated view.
Settings — visible only to area moderators + realm admins.
Note — Files is only accessible from the sidebar — there is no Files widget on the dashboard, and no quick-link unless an admin has promoted it. New starters typically need a tip on where Files lives.
Header area
At the top of the sidebar, the area's avatar + name + subtitle is clickable — opens the global Quick search so you can jump to a different area without going back to the dashboard.
Mobile / tablet
On screens below xl, the sidebar collapses. Tap the Menu button (ellipsis-circle icon) at the top of the breadcrumb to open the slide-over.
