What is an area?

An area groups everything about one supported person — overview, apps, dashboards, settings.

An area is the private space for one supported person. Think of it as their digital folder — everything you record about them lives inside it, and access to the area controls who can see what.

Opening an {{area}}

From your dashboard, click any area card to open it. You land on the dashboard for that area (see Dashboard layouts).

The apps inside every {{area}}

Each area can host these apps. Moderators turn them on or off per-area in Settings so each one only carries what it needs:

  • About — versioned sections describing the supported person.

  • Daily Diary — running shift-note record.

  • eMAR — electronic medication administration records.

  • Forms — assessments, reviews, audits.

  • Forms History — locked submissions and the audit trail.

  • Reminders — one-off and recurring tasks with optional alerts.

  • Calendar — unified day/week/month view fed by reminders, diary entries, queued forms and eMAR doses.

  • Files — versioned document store.

  • Contacts — GP, family, professionals, emergency contacts.

  • Money tin tracker — petty-cash ledger with reconciliation.

  • Medication stock control — counts and disposal records.

  • Activity logs — per-area audit trail.

  • Inbox — area-channel messaging.

  • Workflowsarea-scoped automations.

  • Policies — realm-wide policies surfaced inside the area.

Note — The full app list is visible in the sidebar (GroupMenu) when you're inside the area. See Sidebar and apps.

Tip — If an app is missing from one of your areas, the area's moderator (or a realm admin) has it switched off. Every app is opt-in via Area settings.
