Understanding status colours

What the colours on the timeline mean — at a glance.

Every cell on the timeline is coloured by its administration status. Five core states, plus badges layered on top.

Cell colours

Colour

Status

What it means

Green

Given

Successfully administered (outcome 1) or witnessed-and-verified (outcome 2).

Amber / yellow

Due now

Within the administration buffer window (before or after the scheduled time). Take action.

Grey

Scheduled

Not yet within the buffer window. Nothing to do yet.

Red

Missed

Buffer has expired. The dose is overdue and a missed-dose alert has been raised.

White / blank

No dose

Not scheduled at this slot.

Badges (on top of the cell colour)

  • Violet "PRN" badge — a PRN (as-needed) administration was recorded at this slot.

  • Yellow "Off" badge — an off-schedule administration.

  • Violet "Late" badge — a retrospective recording (entered after the dose was actually given).

  • Bell icon — a missed-dose alert has been sent.

Heads up — There isn't a separate "Overdue" colour in Carerealm today — what looks overdue to you is the amber "Due now" cell with a bell icon on it (signalling that the missed-notification timer has fired). Once the after-buffer expires, the cell flips to red "Missed".

Tip — Scan the dashboard for red and amber first thing each shift. Those are the only states that demand an action; green and grey are background context.
