Steps
Open the area's eMAR → Stock.
Click New movement.
Pick the medication. Only medications already on the eMAR show in the picker.
Set Movement type = Received.
Enter the quantity received (doses / units).
Notes — record the supplier, batch number, delivery-note reference, and any conditions. e.g.
"Boots, batch B12345, DN 9876, refrigerated".Save. The stock balance for that medication updates immediately.
Good practice
Two-person check for controlled drugs. Use the Notes field to record who else verified the count (e.g.
"Counted with J. Smith").Compare to the delivery note before saving. If counts disagree, contact the pharmacy before signing off.
Photograph the delivery note and upload it to Files if you want to keep a copy attached to the area.
Note — Controlled drugs also need a CD register entry. The Stock movement records the count; the Controlled drug register records the legal transaction. Do both.
