Assigning a funder to a person

On a supported person's rota settings, choose their funder and optionally set a per-person charge-rate override. Admin only.

Once you've set up your funders, link each supported person to the one that commissions their care. This tells the revenue forecast which charge rate to apply. It's done on the area's rota settings, and the Funding card is only visible to admins.

Choosing the funder

On the area's rota settings, find the Funding card. Use the Funder / commissioner dropdown to pick who commissions this area, or leave it as Unassigned. Each funder in the list shows its default rate alongside its name.

Setting a per-person rate override

Most people charge at their funder's default rate. If this area is invoiced at a different rate, type it into Charge rate override (£/hr). Leave it blank (it shows Use funder rate) to fall back to the funder's default.

The override always wins: where it's set, the revenue forecast uses it instead of the funder rate, and it survives even if the funder is later deleted.

Step-by-step
  1. 1Open the area's **Rota** settings (admins only).
  2. 2Find the **Funding** card.
  3. 3Pick the commissioner from the **Funder / commissioner** dropdown (or leave it **Unassigned**).
  4. 4Optionally type a per-person rate into **Charge rate override (£/hr)** — leave blank to use the funder's rate.
  5. 5Save the settings.
  6. 6Check the result on the **Revenue forecast** page, where the person now shows their funder and effective rate.
Tips
  • Funding fields are admin-only — non-admin managers can't see or change them.
  • An override is flagged with an **OVR** badge next to the rate on the revenue forecast.
  • If a person has funded hours but no funder and no override, their revenue won't be counted — you'll see a **No rate** warning.
