Every area has its own calendar settings, accessible from the gear icon on the calendar toolbar. Only area moderators and realm admins can change them.
Source visibility
Toggle which event sources show by default on this area's calendar:
Custom events — user-created events.
Reminders — every active reminder on its due date.
Diary — a pip per day with activity.
Forms queue — queued forms with deadlines.
eMAR doses — EveryWeek schedule windows only.
Note — Users can also toggle sources on or off for their current session via the toolbar. Settings here control the default.

Categories
An optional list of allowed event categories. Leave empty for no restriction. When set, the new-event editor restricts users to picking from this list.
Members can add
Toggle whether any area member can create custom events, or only moderators. Default: on.
Tip — Working hours don't hide events outside the window — they just visually de-emphasise the night-time block in Week and Day views, giving the planning area more space.
