Two surfaces give you a higher-level view of an area's diary: the always-on Monthly overview stats block on the right column, and the AI-driven Insights panel reached from the purple Sparkles button in the header.
Monthly overview (right column, desktop only)
Sits below the month calendar. Shows:
Total entries this month.
Daily average.
Last entry (date + relative time).
Trend vs the previous month — up / down arrow.
AI keywords (when AI is enabled): chips for People, Locations, Moods, Topics surfaced from the month's entries.
Insights panel (purple Sparkles button)
Click Insights in the header to open the AI insights side panel. It generates a digest of the area's recent diary activity — patterns, frequent topics, mood trends, anomalies. Only available when AI features are enabled at the realm and per-user level.
Heads up — Insights is a summarisation aid — not a clinical assessment. Decisions about care should be based on reading the full record, not a paragraph of AI summary. Treat insights as a way to spot what to read, not what to conclude.
Tab-to-autocomplete in the editor
When AI is on and you're writing an entry, the editor shows a hint near the toolbar: "Press TAB ⇥ at the end of a sentence to autocomplete, twice to confirm!". The AI offers a sentence continuation; one Tab accepts it, two Tabs confirms it as final.
Tip — Use Tab-autocomplete to bridge a thought, not to write the whole entry. Carers who let the AI write everything end up with vague, generic records — which inspectors notice.
