Supported browsers and devices

Which browsers and devices Carerealm officially supports, and what to do if something looks broken.

Browsers

Carerealm runs in any modern browser. We test against the latest two major versions of:

  • Chrome (recommended for staff PCs)

  • Edge

  • Safari (recommended for iPad / Mac users)

  • Firefox

Not supported

  • Internet Explorer (any version).

  • Browsers more than a year out of date.

  • Browsers with JavaScript or cookies disabled.

  • Browsers behind aggressive content-blocking proxies that strip our security headers.

Mobile

The web app works on any phone with a modern browser. We also publish dedicated iOS and Android apps for offline-first diary entries and quick eMAR access — see the Mobile app category.

Display recommendations

  • Minimum viewport — 320px wide. The whole interface adapts down to small phones.

  • Recommended — 1280×800 or larger for the admin pages and the eMAR dashboard.

  • Print — the calendar and forms history pages have print-friendly stylesheets. Use Cmd/Ctrl+P.

When something looks broken

Most visual oddities are cured by a hard refresh:

  • Windows / LinuxCtrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R.

  • macOSCmd+Shift+R.

Note — If the problem persists after a hard refresh, take a screenshot and use the "Suggest a feature or article" link in the help-centre footer to report it. Include the page URL and what you were doing when it broke.
