In single-card mode (Mode B), the day's diary is one card and each save creates a new revision under it. The card always shows the latest revision; the full chain sits in the Diary revisions list below.
Note — This article is about single-card mode. If your area runs the multi-entry timeline (Mode A), every save is a separate entry rather than a revision — see Reading the diary. Your admin sets the mode in Diary configuration under "Use multiple entries per day".
The revisions list
Each row shows:
Timestamp and author.
Badges: Current (the latest), Locked, Photo.
Click any row to open the Revision View right-side slideover with that revision's full content.
Actions inside the Revision View
area moderators and realm admins see an Actions menu in the slideover:
Make current — promote an older revision to be the displayed one. The action is logged.
Edit content — open the editor with this revision's content for correction. Saves create a new revision (the original stays).
Lock — prevent further edits to this revision. See Locking entries.
Archive revision — hide this revision from the default view.
How a regular member sees revisions
Regular members can:
Open any revision in the Revision View slideover (unless it's locked and they're not on the allow-list).
Read the content.
NOT edit, archive, lock, or make-current.
Heads up — Admin edits and archives are logged in the audit history with timestamps and reasons. Use them for genuine corrections — not for retrofitting a record. Inspectors look at the audit history before the latest revision.
