What is Carerealm?

A quick orientation: what the platform does and how its main pieces fit together.

Carerealm is a digital care-management platform built for residential, supported-living, domiciliary and learning-disability services. Everything about one supported person lives in their own area — a private space gathering their daily diary, About profile, eMAR medication records, forms, reminders, calendar, files, contacts, petty cash and audit trail in one place.

How the pieces fit together

  • Realm — your organisation as a whole. One realm per service.

  • Parent groups — how a realm splits itself into branches, locations or care types. areas belong to a parent group.

  • Areas (or whatever your realm calls them — see Why we say "area") — one per supported person.

  • Apps — each area has a set of apps you can switch on or off per-area: Diary, About, eMAR, Forms, Reminders, Calendar, Files, Contacts, Money tracking, Activity Logs.

  • Platform-wide tools — Policies & Procedures (realm-wide documents surfaced inside every area), the Inbox (secure messaging between staff), and Workflows (automations).

Who sees what

Access is granted per-area per-feature. A carer added to one area only sees that area. Admins manage realm-wide settings, users, billing and audit logs.

Finding your way around this help centre

Every area app has its own category in the left-hand menu. Use the search box at the top of any help page — when you're signed in, it answers questions using AI; the public help centre falls back to keyword search.

Tip — When you're signed in, every article reads in your realm's vocabulary (e.g. "service user", "resident"). On the public help centre you'll see the platform default — "area".
