Reminders are how an area's team keeps track of one-off and recurring tasks: GP appointments, hairdresser visits, restock orders, monthly reviews, weekly cleaning. Every area has its own reminders list — there's no realm-wide reminder pool.
How reminders work
Per- — each reminder lives inside one area. Everyone with access to the area can see and complete it.
Not assignable to specific people — you can't pick a single user to "own" a reminder. Use the alert recipients (see below) if you want particular people to get a notification.
Optional recurrence — daily, weekly or monthly. See Recurring reminders.
Alerts — pick when an alert fires and who receives it (email + in-app bell).
Surfaces on the Calendar — every reminder appears in the area's Calendar on its due date.
Three states
State | What it means |
|---|---|
Active | Hasn't been completed yet. Listed under "Upcoming" or "Overdue". |
Complete | Marked done by a staff member. Goes into the completed list; recurring reminders also auto-advance to the next occurrence. |
Flagged | Independent toggle — a flag for "this needs attention from a manager". Flagged reminders surface separately whether or not they're complete. |
Tip — For tasks that need to be sent to a specific named person (rather than the whole area), use queued forms instead — they're assignment-aware and chase the assignee until done.
